1950s Ceil Chapman Silk Brocade GownOddly I just had what would have been the sister to this gown a few weeks ago same fabric but with a slightly different bust! I absolutely love the color of this piece it's a rich combination of a silk peach base with a swirling design of gold and silver delicately woven through the fabric. The cut is fairly simple with no sleeves and a scooped neckline. The waist nips in and the skirt is set with spaced inverted pleating so you don't get any bulk
